Stockton is noted as the most inland, deep water seaport on the west coast. Nestled in Delta lands, it is surrounded by three rivers, plus many inlets and lagoons. Over 1,000 miles of navigable waterways are used throughout the year for water-skiing, fishing, swimming and boating.
